16.04 - WiFi Hotspot - WPA2

I have setup a WiFi hotspot using the GUI in 16.04, following the tutorial at Use Your Ubuntu-MATE 16.04 Laptop As A Wi-Fi Hotspot

When creating the hotspot you can select the security type, but the only viable option in the list is “WPA & WPA2”, but I would rather not allow wireless clients to use WPA. Is there any way to configure the hotspot to allow WPA2 only?

I have had a look in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/hotspot (“hotspot” being the name of my wireless connection). And I have tried changing a few settings such as proto=rsn and pairwise=CCMP but this doesn’t seem to work. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

hi

do not use uppercases.
rsn & ccmp worked for me.

good luck.

I have a problem whit the security settings it runs only whit wpa not whit wpa2 and I can’t change the settings because I have no wpa_supplicant.conf and cant open the NetworkManager.conf
