How can I install Ubuntu-mate with USB drive?

can anybody tell me how can I install Ubuntu Mate with USB Drive?

Welcome to comunity @Billy_Shen

Look at the tutorial posted here, it has a lot of info on how to install it.

Ubuntu beginners guide, complete how to install and run first update

Thanks!

I tried Unetbootin, but failed. I write Ubuntu MATE 18.04 LTS ISO to the USB Drive through Unetbootin. It is not going to work because it has problem with writing files from USB drive to the SSD Hard Disk of my laptop.

Maybe there is something wrong with my USB Drive, like bad blocks.

thank you.

@Billy_Shen: You write “it has problem with writing files from USB drive to the SSD Hard Disk of my laptop”.

1. If you managed to transfer the ISO file to the USB drive but have issues while installing from the USB drive:
a. do not connect to the LAN / WLAN while installing Ubuntu (MATE) on your laptop, or
b. choose to NOT INSTALL updates during initial setup

You can update your system after Ubuntu MATE is installed via Menu -> Administration -> Software Updater.

2. If you did not manage to transfer the ISO file to the USB drive:
a. if you have a Windows PC, download Rufus from here http://rufus.akeo.ie/downloads/rufus-3.0.exe and run the exe file to create the boot-able USB drive
b. if you have an Ubuntu PC, download Etcher from here https://etcher.io/, install it and create the boot-able USB drive

Hope this helps.

Already successfully installed thanks for the instructions.
