I originally followed this thread about getting Ubuntu Studio bits to work in an Ubuntu MATE 16.04 install. Upgraded from 16.04 to 16.10 without any problems some months ago. Everything seemed to be working fine. Now I am trying Rosegarden for the first time and I can’t get any sound output. I am not sure if this is a Rosegarden newbie thing or an upgrade issue. Could someone please direct me to a beginner howto to get Rosegarden working in recent Ubuntu versions? I have seen a a few that talk about making sure tranquility is installed, but tranquility doesn’t seem to be in the repositories anymore. All help appreciated.
I am using a Novation LunchKey 49 Mk 2 and can see events in the Rosegarden transport window, and it works fine in both LMMS and Musescore.
