Unable to resume from suspend

I’m currently having an issue with resuming from suspend mode. All I get is a black screen.

Currently running Ubuntu Mate 18.04 Beta 2 with the 4.15.0-19-generic kernel.

I already tried the fix in this link (Suspend Black Screen) but it didn’t work. I also installed the latest Nvidia drivers.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Now using the LTS none beta version and found an odd quirk. I can suspend and come out of it just find if I haven’t logged into the PC, but once I log in, I can’t go into suspend mode.

Anyone has any idea why this is going on?
