I don’t know if this helps but heres my specs

Absolutely not true.

Welcome to the forum @Gaming_with_Sauce. I would recommend creating a live DVD or live USB drive, and booting your computer from one of those to see if your hardware is compatible with Ubuntu Mate, or any other Linux distribution that you might be considering. Always best to try before installing.

See the following links:

http://ubuntu-mate.org/how-to-create-bootable-usb-drive/

https://ubuntu-mate.community/t/how-to-use-unetbootin/672

And lastly for a list of Hardware requirements

http://ubuntu-mate.org/about/#hardware_requirements

Ubuntu MATE should work well on your hardware. Basically, any Linux distro should work well on pretty much anything as long as you have enough RAM (and with 8 GB, you have more than enough). Some DEs like GNOME need to have a decent GPU as they heavily use screen compositing but 1) your APU is good enough for this; and 2) MATE is lighter on this side anyway.

To say it in another way: unless you have a CPU and GPU that are 10 years old and less than 1 GB RAM, most Linux distros will work well. Only with very old hardware would you need to look for specific distros that have low requirements.

This being said, is this a laptop or a desktop PC? Just asking because in the case of a laptop, you should be aware of a critical/dangerous issue identified in Ubuntu 17.10 (and flavours) that can damage some models.

One last thing: as you have “Gaming” in your name, are you asking if APUs are suitable for Linux for games specifically? If so, it might depend, so tell us if you want to play on Linux (which games and such) to give you more detailed explanations.
