After upgrading my desktop to 22.04, I have run into several issues that I am having problems searching for because the keywords are not specific enough.

First, I have an extension for Firefox that is no longer working. The issue may be a change in the SNAP security model, or more likely related to /opt no longer being on the path (an extension helper was installed in to the /opt dir). Does anyone know of a way to resolve this in a good way? I know several bad ways of resolving it.

Wine no longer works. This appears to be a permission issue of some type because sudo wine program.exe does work (an even simpler case is that winecfg does not work, but sudo winecfg does!) I am aware of the security issues when running wine with sudo, so I am trying to resolve this. Also, the sound does not always work (sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't) I don't know if this is related or a separate issue.
