Will there be a download image for the Pi5 for 24.04? Ubuntu has had it since 23.10...Thank you!

Hi, anyone knows the estimated timeframe for the release of Ubuntu Mate 24.04 for Raspberry Pi 5? I know the earlier version do support the Raspberry Pi already, but having the latest version (24.04) of Ubuntu Mate would be even better.

Why are you expecting it?
Have we seen any announcement? — No.
Any sign of work in progress? — No. The repository was updated 2 years ago.
This does not matter, if the work has not even started. Please, think about someone's motivation to do something. Most likely, the team members do not have the Pi5 hardware at all.
Ubuntu 24.04 is officially supporting Pi5 out of the box. MATE Desktop is available in repos.

About motivation (from video description):
