How can I activate the accurate driver for the Brother DCP-1612W scanner driver?
I loaded the accurate 64 bits driver but I am fully new with Linux! So I do not know how to activate it.
The printing function works all right.
I have just the problem with the scanner. Who can help me?

A driver doesn’t require “activating” as long as it is downloaded and installed. I located a Brother driver page for your scanner - http://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=ca&lang=en&prod=dcp1612w_us_eu&os=128.
As long as you follow their instructions, your scanner should work. If it doesn’t, please provide specific details about your problem with the scanner. Good luck HansTrapp.

Many thanks for your indications. I tried but without a result.
My Brother DCP-1612W is connected with an ethernet cable to my laptop.
A the use of this scanner seems impossible I decided to give the machine back to the supplier.
I an just expectng an answer from Brother’s servicing department.
