Adding a dashboard on the right side where to put launched apps

Hello,

I use Ubuntu Mate 16.04 LTS since today on an Intel NUC and I’m connecting on it with a x2goclient on my iMac.

The dashboard in the bottom disturb me as it provoques a conflict with the one of Mac OS X so I removed it.

I didn’t find how to create a new one that I could put on the right side on the screen and that all apps in background task could place on it.

have you considered using “Plank” (pre-installed in Ubuntu mate 16.04):
