After installing MATE, keyboard layout doesn't work (no function keys and scroll on mousepad)

Hi All,

I’ve just installed Ubunutu MATE (64bit) on my Lenovo Ideapad 120S-11IAP and the keyboard doesn’t function properly. The function keys do not work (can’t adjust the volume using F2 and F3) and the mousepad doesn’t scroll (I have to manually scroll). Is there something I need to install to get the keyboard and mousepad to function properly?

Hi Wolfman,
Thanks for the link. I have done all updates as per your guide but it turns out that I just didn’t enable scrolling withing the System/Preferences/Hardware/Mouse/Touchpad settings. Rookie error!
