Ambiant-MATE theme problems

Hi all,

I’m using MATE 17.10 with stock ambiant theme at work.
I like it very much but when it comes to QT and JAVA Apps there are some serious problems:

  • Eclipse has now white fonts on very light background in “git commit and push”.
  • QT apps’ menu is white font on very light background
  • SAP Java client has same problems

Is there a way to fix this?

So, not sure. You should raise a bug against the ubuntu-mate-artwork package.

Does it happen with various versions of Qt (i.e. Qt3, Qt4 and Qt5 apps) or only apps using a specific version? or even specific apps? Do you have a ~/.config/Trolltech.conf file with the option style=GTK+ in it?

This was my work pc and I got a new one. So I just did a complete reinstall.
Everything is back to normal and I cannot recreate the problem here.

I guess there was some wierd QT config file somewhere.
