Any way to stop persistent keyboard battery notification?

Hi,

My wireless keyboard battery is at 5% and MATE is notifying me that "This device will soon stop functioning if not charged".
My keyboard isn't rechargeable and takes regular batteries which i'm wanting to run until they're done.
But the notification won't go away and reappears about once every 30 seconds.
Is there a way to turn off the notification for now?

Not able to find the 5% setting file but maybe try this and when batteries die you can turn back on. Not sure what other notifications it will turn off in the meantime.
