Anyone else using a Lenovo W530 laptop and solved boot issues?

I have been running Linux Mint MATE, and with every update things get worse - lock ups on boot, black screens, wandering tool bar items, etc.

I’m using legacy boot and Nvidia binary drivers on Mint 17.2 with the MATE desktop.

I’m getting a bit desperate, and I’m hoping someone has some suggestions.

Here’s the current system report:

Ummm, this is awkward

You probably need to ask this question over at the Linux Mint community. This is the community for Ubuntu MATE, and I have no experience with Mint and can’t comment on the issues you’ve experienced or how to resolve them. Sorry :expressionless:

I’m asking here in the hopes that someone running Ubuntu-MATE has conquered the same issues with Ubuntu-MATE, and I can switch and things will work.

Hi,

sounds to me like you may have burnt your ISO too fast to the disk or didn’t pre-format your USB stick?.
