I looked at the nohup command, but I have zero idea of how to use it to solve my problem. Might anyone know?

OK. I just need to figure the command to use nohup with, which may be the screensaver. My deck goes to blackscreen without running xscreensaver, which is in my startup programs.

I set the screen to never dim, which is what was needed.
