Blender F12 causes the terminal window to open "solved"

When I use the F12 in Blender it should be rendering the scene but the Terminal window open instead

Thatā€™s the tilda program - a handy terminal when you press F12!

youā€™ll need to change the tilda keyboard shortcut to something else.

right-click on the tilda terminal window >> preferences >> key bindings

OR, if you donā€™t want tilda to startup at each boot, remove it from your list of startup apps.

What worked for the is the startup menu. I removed ā€œtildaā€ from the startup and everything works as it should. As for the terminal window>>preferences>>key bindings. I couldnā€™t anything that matched those links in the terminal window

glad you got it sorted.

(to see the tilda preferences, you need to right-click first.)

please edit the title of the thread and add the word ā€˜Solvedā€™

Hi,

Small tip:
Also consider changing Alt window movement key, otherwise Blender Edge Loop select (Alt-RMB) wonā€™t function.

If interested thereā€™s a small Blender fans section. Just added an expanded overview of the above tip.
