Blog title typo

Hey guys,

Congrads on the best ubuntu flavour yet. This is the only LTS flavour that is completely bug free while using my hybrid nvidia with proprietary driver and the prime package, so distrohopping is officially done for me. I donated only 2 days after installation.

Anyhow, there is a typo on the blog title regarding the interface changer in 15.04
Interface switching is missing the letter ‘i’ (switchng)

Thanks again for a great distro.

Thanks for the proof reading and the donation

I’ve corrected the typo. I need an Editor or proof reader.

@Wimpy, I’m an editor by training (masters degree) and a technical writer by profession. I’d be honoured to volunteer so long as our US readers don’t mind my bias towards using British English

How dare you insist on speaking properly! I am highly offended by this shiz-nit!

Not speaking, spelling! In truth though by a quirk of history, US spelling and in some cases usage is closer to early modern English because when spelling was standardised in 18thc England, English scholars were influenced heavily by French and the enlightenment.

@CBG I have been meaning to put the ubuntu-mate.org website under source control so it can be translated. But if I do that it has the added advantage that someone could review draft posts and pages prior to publishing. Would you be prepared to do that? We share a common language  and the volume of posts is low.

I'd be more than happy to @Wimpy. I guess putting it on GitHub or whatever you prefer is the way to go. From memory I recall so saying the site was generated with Nikola with the source in Markdown. Markdown is the best thing since sliced bread!

@CGB Great. Thanks! Yep all Markdown, some inline HTML but the content is Markdown. I’ll setup a repo on Bitbucket.

awesome, let me know when all’s ready

@CGB The repo is here:

Let me know your Bitbucket username and I’ll add you to the team.

@Wimpy my username is chrisgb, I’ve just created the account. Hitherto I’ve just used GitHub so I’ll need to read up how to get started. I assume it’s similar

@CGB I’ve added you to the Webmaster team which has write access to the ubuntu-mate.org repository. So no pull requests required you can commit to the repo directly.

That’s great, thanks @Wimpy. I’ll clone when I finish work later today

@Wimpy, finally got around to cloning the repo and have pushed my first edits to test if everything’s working. I’m liking BitBucket so far…

Sorry I meant to ask, do you want me to do my edits in a branch or are you happy for me to use master?

@CGB Just get stuck in
