Bluetooth Weirdness

Hi All…
I occasionally use bluetooth to transfer small files between between my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S5) and laptops, however I have been having some issues recently. I was initially unable to pair any device to my new Entroware Apollo laptop running Ubuntu MATE 17.10. After installing the “bluetooth” package I was able to pair it with my older laptop (A lenovo B590 running Debian Stretch with the Cinnamon Desktop). I am still unable to pair my phone to the Entroware laptop though. The issue is that the popup that should give me the option to allow the pairing isn’t showing up on Ubuntu MATE. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or know how I might go about fixing this?

Regards,
Jay

Ps. Here’s the output of inxi on the Entroware if it helps…
