So, I was running a VM within MATE and it locked my machine up. When I rebooted, the panel was missing. I figured that I would then try to download xubuntu-desktop. After doing this, whenever the machine reboots, it goes directly to a blank screen. I can see my mouse, but nothing else. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it is not going into the desktop selection screen and/or how I can fix this?
