Brisk Menu crashes, can restart it, doesn't load at all at system startup

So as you all know, I installed Ubuntu MATE fresh the other day. Since then the Brisk menu crashes with an option to reload it. That is annoying but not that bad. Happens 2 or 3 times a day. Secondly and much more of an issue, the Menu will not load at system startup. I am using the Pantheon theme. Note that the dock also doesn't load. I then have to open a terminal and type mate-control-center and use MATE Tweak to select another theme the switch back to Pantheon.

To be fair, all of my other issues (more than 10) have been solved by doing the fresh install. That makes me happy, just hoping someone can help with this. I saw a post from UM 18.04 but no resolution

I've noticed that brisk-menu sucks up a heap of memory over time (see: ). Easiest way to restart it - for me - is to use the terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T):

mate-panel --replace &
exit

Works quicker than choosing a different theme, but is still a little annoying.
