Browser doesn't properly open Caja when requested

Hi everybody, I want to see if theres a solution for a problem about Nautilus and Caja.

Since Ubuntu MATE uses Caja as default file manager, and comes with this one as the unique file manager, its a problem to see that everytime I open the manipulating file window to upload something on Google Chrome, Firefox or Opera, the system open up Nautilus instead of Caja. And it's default (and odd), liveUSB boot up with this. And more, I can't change this because system says that Caja is the only one file manager installed. There's a way to change the way the browser open a file and why Nautilus still remains on the system if its not installed by default? If there's a way to properly remove Nautilus from the system?

As you guys can see in the picture, when I click "upload" from Google Images the system shows me Nautilus instead of Caja ;/
But this is annoying, since Nautilus is not instaled!
Sorry if I'm not totally clear, English is not my first language.

Hmm.. I am not sure to what degree a "File Open" dialog is either Caja or Nautilus. Honestly, I have not used Nautilus in a while so, I'm not sure what it looks like but, I think you are describing the difference between GTK2 and GTK3.

You can see some of those differences posted here:

The applications you specified "Google Chrome, Firefox or Opera" are just compiled for GTK3 and not GTK2. In Ubuntu MATE 16.04 LTS, I think that most applications included in the OS are still compiled for GTK2. Moving forward in MATE, and someone correct me if I am wrong, GTK2 is being replaced by GTK3. So, most file dialogs, if not all, will appear as they do in the screenshot you posted.

Hi M, yes, this is the question.
Thanks for the link.

About the post, so, theres no coming back, GTK3 will be the default style ;/
The concern comes from the fact that the first release of Ubuntu MATE 16.04.0 had the GTK2 style on style,
the same style described on the post.

It's odd, everything on MATE still has GTK2 style, these browser Opera, Firefox and Chrome are the only ones with this GTK3 style.
Making some changes on the system I found some ways to change the style back to GTK2, but nothing solid.

For default all in Ubuntu MATE 16.04 LTS is GTK2 styled. Only my browsers are on GTK3 style.

Thanks so much for the help
