Bug in Seamonkey 2.48

Has anyone else noticed this ?

Ubuntu mate recently updated Seamonkey 2.46 -> 2.48.

When I play a video on YouTube and then go back, the video does not stop.

I have to hit reload to stop it ??

I do not see the problem with Firefox.

Which version of Seamonkey are you using? I am on UM 16.04 LTS and Seamonkey is not in the Software Boutique so far as I can see.

I have also had a look in the main Ubuntu repositories and it does not appear to be in there either. Though, of course, I may be mistaken. From what I have read elsewhere, it was removed from the Ubuntu repositories a few years ago due to the unavailability of volunteers to maintain the Seamonkey package.

Did you download and install it directly from the Seamonkey Project website or from a third party? In which case, it will be them who will have provided the update.

Or, am I mistaken on this and it is still provided by Ubuntu? Or, perhaps, a Software Boutique package provided by UM 17.x?

Version 2.48.

I put this in Other Software in Software and Updates.

I decided to just close videos in YouTube before going back.

There’s the answer then. Any issues with the upgrade will be something done by Seamonkey devs and so is outside of the control of Ubuntu devs
