Can not get computer to boot from a pendrive

I used BalenaEtcher to install Ubuntu 24.01 to a pendrive.

I went into the BIOS to change the boot order, but it does not see the pendrive? (SDC)

Let me kindly suggest that you add some information in this discussion topic about your setup, so hopefully someone here in the "Ubuntu MATE Community" may better help you: What kind of computer are you using? Is it a desktop or laptop? Could you please tell us the brand and model?

In the bios, there probably is an option to select the drive you want to immediately boot from, I find it is much easier than having to change the boot order.
