Can't boot install on MacbookPro 2,2

Hello,

I need some help getting UM 21.10 usb installer recognized as a bootable drive. Right now, when loading the boot options, only the already installed MacOS HD is listed.

I used Disk Writer to write to thumb drive, and I verified that it's correct.

Here are the EFI files:

/EFI/boot/bootx64.efi
/EFI/boot/grubx64.efi
/EFI/boot/mms64.efi

Here is the drive layout after writing the image:

I do notice that the EFI path and file names are /EFI/boot/bootx64.efi, and I think I saw someplace that Macs look for /EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.efi. Could the alpha-case be the issue?

I believe that model of Mac has a 32 bit EFI and requires additional steps to install the OS. There is a thread on this site that addresses a solution though I don't have it at hand.

I recommend searching for it or someone else may be able to give you a link.

Best of Luck
