If I could get a few commercial developers to contact the MATE development community for any advice on integration to MATE, would the developers be interested in working with them? Or, if they would like help in resolving any GUI or library issues, would there be some interest in advising them? I’d like to ask Schrodinger.com to check to see if their suite of computational chemistry programs could be checked with 17.10 MATE. Right now they don’t work correctly. Normally they target the Ubuntu LTS releases, but with Gnome adoption, I’m not sure of their direction. Wavefunction Inc. is another program I’d like to ask to check on MATE support. Thanks for your thoughts.
