Convert .mov to mp4 on UbuntuMate 15.04

Anybody know how to convert some .mov files to mp4? Took some video of my daughters dance recital and want to make them a little smaller file size.

You need Transmageddon for that UB. You’ll find it in the software centre

hii you could try :

ffmpeg -i movie.mov -f mp4 -vcodec copy -acodec copy output.mp4

Transmageddon looks like its more up my alley than jumping in the command line. But I’ll probably try both just because I can. Lol

One of my friend show me a detailed guide to convert MOV to MP4 format or convert MP4 to MOV. It works like a charm.

Here I share it with you and hope it can help you more or less. In addition, it also can convert MOV to AVI, WMV, MPG, MKV, FLV, ASF, etc.

I have never needed any other tool to convert any type of video. It supports multiple file formats.
