I really need help. I just put Ubuntu MATE 18.04.1 on a build I was planning to sell to a client I used to do garden work for (She is excited to switch to Linux and her kids will use it for games) and I cannot sign on to the desktop. Once I sign in it takes a while to load the DE, then pops up an error report which I dont have time to read or fill out because it crashes back to the sign-in screen. This loop repeats as long as I try, even after several reboots.
Here are the system specs:
CPU: Intel Celeron G4920
RAM: 4GB Patriot Viper Elite 2400MHz DDR4 (set at 2400MHz in Bios)
PSU: Thermaltake SMART 500w 80+cert.
MOBO: MSI H310M Pro-VD (Bios version is 7B33v14)
GPU: MSI Nvidia GT 1030LP 2GB GDDR5
WD 1TB 5400rpm HDD 64MB cache
Thank you very much for your time
edit:
This happens on first boot. I haven’t installed or changed anything, and did select try before install to test the system. Before getting into the DE I noticed some errors printing on screen but could read anything except for something about AHCPI
