Edit MP4 metadata or timestamp

I have been taking videos from my phone. After transferring to my desktop PC with UM 18.04, I noticed that the videos do not have metadata. I want to organize my videos according by date. Is there anyway to add metadata to my MP4 videos for the specific date at least?

EDIT: Additional info: I do not want to alter the vids in anyway except to add the date when they were taken. I want to do this to other older family videos as well that do not have a date/time stamp.

EDIT2: I tried VLC but VLC only lets me add the year, not the month and day also.

Yes, I looked into EasyTAG. Unfortunately, I can only add the year using it. I also need to add the month and the day.
