Exchange one OS in dual boot

Hi there,

I am running UM 16.04 together with w10 in a dual boot. I want to freshly install 18.04 replacing 16.04.

Can I simply boot with a live drive and install it onto this partition? Or is there anything I need to observe? ( apart from backing up data?)

If you haven't already installed 18.04, you appear to be on the right track. Back up your data and use the old 16.04 partition for your new install.

If it was me, I'd go into win10 and shrink its' partition to make room for a new 18.04 partition and keep your old 16.04.
