I stopped using Mate back when it still had the 1px resizable borders, it made the user experience too frustrating too often. When you fixed that in 19.10 I noticed immediately, and I've been on Mate since.
There are two additional features that I miss in Mate and that I consider necessary in order to qualify as a fully mature desktop:
- Window/dialog animations (open, close, maximize, minimize). This one is big.
- Consistently sized previews on hover on open programs in the panel, and a close button in the preview
Are there any plans to add those features to Mate, especially #1?
