i have installed waterfox in um 18.04 and that is what i use can i remove firefox and thunderbird or can i lock them so they do not update any more ?
yes you can remove firefox and thunderbird as long as waterfox does not depend on them

a few years ago i tried removing thunderbird and ubuntu said i couldn't it was using it .
