Getting these errors while apt-get update

E:The method driver /usr/lib/apt/methods/https// could not be found.,
E:Failed to fetch https//://deb.opera.com/opera-stable/dists/stable/InRelease
E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I googled the first one and one of the solutions I found was to install “apt-transport-https” and I tried that but it says it is already installed.

What should be done?

Have you updated the Boutique before installing Opera?

Version should be as shown: 17.10.7

Yes, the boutique is updated, I don't remember though if I had done it before/after installing opera.

But the problem is solved now, I went into sources.list.d and edited the opera link inside and now I don't get the other error as well and apt-get updated successfully. So this issue is resolved.

Thanks for trying to help.
