I want to report a bug for dayplanner. (It says to use Github)
I went to gethub but can figure how to report a bug?

On Git hub I believe that you have to have an account before you can post an Issue.
and have to be signed into the correct repository to do that. They call them Issues there not bugs. See the Github guide here.
on Launchpad were most ubuntu bugs are reported you need to register at launchpad
Then you should do a search for your bug just to make sure it has not already been reported. If it has add a comment that it also affects your machine. This is important because the more machines it affects the higher the priority of fixing it becomes.
Also in the comments there is often a work around or fix for the bug.
