As it says on the tin; Open a private browsing session if already using Google and try signing in.
Tested in a live session.
It’s not broken on my machine. I’ve just managed to sign into Google in Chromium and also in Firefox in a private browsing window as well as the normal one without any problems. I have done this from my installed UM OS, not the Live Session. So, I guess it must be something to do with your Live Session?
logged out and then logged back in with Google just fine … FF 46.0

Chromium browser also enabled my login with Google
Lasted for a good few hours. Maybe Google got their $#*! together.
