Are you using the same media player now as you did before? If so, try a different media player. Just to see if it’s related to the media player or to the OS.

thanks for the reply,

Was watching the movies online like youtube.

Hello @Jacky_chan

Maybe you can try changing Window manager in MATE Tweak in Windows panel from Marco (Software compositor) to Marco (Compton GPU compositor)

thanks

I installed mate tweak and changed to Macro Compton GPU compoitor but unfortunately no difference
:worried:
Please help

Is there anyway i can degrade to 16.04 Please help

how did you upgrade from 16.04 to 17.04 in the first place?

Also what do you mean you installed MATE tweak, it’s already comes preinstalled.

Which graphic card you use?
Was watching the movies online like youtube.
Which browser? Because what you’re describing is kind of odd for it to be caused by the upgrade. I’m going to guess that with the upgrade came an upgrade for whatever browser you’re using and that is causing the issue.

Just a guess though.

You may want to try to boot from a 17.04 live image and see if the same problem occurs there to exclude that it’s an issue with the upgrade process.
