I usually keep my laptop in a docking station, using two external monitors with the laptop closed. I’m on travel this week so I grabbed my laptop and charger. On login, I see the taskbar, desktop icons, and task manager (I like it to load on login automatically) for about a second before it all disappears. All I see is the desktop wallpaper. Keyboard hotkeys, such as Ctrl + Alt + T or Alt F2 don’t do anything. I can move the mouse cursor, but right-clicking does nothing. I can login through CLI by hitting Ctrl + Alt F1. I feel as though the system is freaking because its attempting to display to my two 1920x1200 monitors, but there’s only the single 1920x1080 (I think that’s right lols) built-in monitor.
Any suggestions? What should I do? Google has turned up nothing–partly because I don’t quite know how to even describe the problem in search terms.
