Has latest Ubuntu MATE update broken FileZilla?

I just updated my Ubuntu 10.04.03 LTS on a Pi2 (a few months since I last updated), and experienced the Firefox crash.

One of the links suggested downloading an older version with FileZilla - just tried that and got

Reading locale option from /home/ian/.config/filezilla/filezilla.xml
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Has FileZilla been broken too?

As far as I know the only thing in common between Mozilla and Filezilla are the letters “illa”.
Also a MATE update wouldn’t break userland software, only the desktop - you’re conflating “Ubuntu MATE” (the OS) with “MATE” (the desktop environment)
