HDMI sound not working anymore on laptop [SOLVED]

Since I upgraded to yakkety 16.10 I cannot output sound on the HDMI.
The laptop doesn’t seem to detect the HDMI cable for sound, I can have the video but no more sound.

Anybody has a similar problem win 16.10 ?

Hi Bernard,

have you check your hardware profiles in the sound manager settings and is an HDMI soundcard showing in the list?, if so, select then do a sound test!:

Oups! I got it working when I retried. I think I moved the portable and it looks like its the HDMI cable that was in problem. Nothing to do with yakkety!
