Hello, I am using Ubuntu MATE 18.04 with a Lenovo P51s notebook.
After every boot, some vpp process uses a high share of the CPU, about 60%
PID USER PRI NI VIRT RES SHR S CPU% MEM% TIME+ Command
1610 root 20 0 5023M 34452 16144 R 61.5 0.4 8:28.24 /usr/bin/vpp -c /etc/vpp/startup.conf
Unfortunately I couldn’t find any hints how to solve this. Can anyone assist, please?
EDIT: For some reason, this turned out to be a temporary problem.
But I have still the problem that a high amount of RAM is consumed before any app is started (about 2,85 GB of available 8 GB)
It doesn’t matter if I login with Ubuntu MATE Desktop or with LXDE Desktop.
Has anyone experienced similar behaviour and knows how to reduce the amount of RAM used?
