Hot keys with 'Shift' in browsers don't work

In browsers (I use Mozzila and opera) don’t work hot keys with key ‘Shift’. I offen use combinations ‘Ctrl + Shift + N’ to open private window and ‘Ctrl + Shift + T’ to open last closed tab in browser. But it don’t work. I use Ubuntu mate from box.

Hi @Medvezhonok, I'm not seeing this on 16.04, 18.04 or 18.10. Which version are you running?

But I tested just Firefox, maybe Opera is involved. I just tried all the shift inclusive ones in the menus. BTW, Open New Private Window is Ctrl+Shft+P.

I wasn't aware of this one but it works well:

@Medvezhonok

Are you using Ctrl+Shift to switch keyboard languages?
What is your Ubuntu MATE version?

I know it’s strange.

Yes, I switch keybord languages by combination “Ctrl + Shift”

Thank you! Problem is listtening of switch combination “Ctrl + Shift”. I tried to search this combinations in system settings but forgot about Keyboard switching!

@Medvezhonok

You can continue to use Ctrl+Shift for keyboard layout switching if you add my PPA to the system - see my answer in similar thread.

Note: I’m writing this post from Ubuntu MATE 16.04.5 LTS. For such systems the PPA is not needed. But for 18.04 LTS and 18.10 it is needed.
