How to disable second WiFi connection?

Aside my internal WiFi card, I am using a USB WiFi stick because my internal one sometimes fails.

I have this stick always plugged in for convenience but don't always need it and prefer the internal one as long as it's working.

I am wondering how I can disable this second one without plugging it off?

The menu doesn't give me that option. In the screenshot below, the one I want to disable is the one in red.

I put “wlx18a6f7106fbb” in "/etc/network/interfaces/ and restarted networkmanager.

Now it’s no longer showing up. Does this mean it also doesn’t consume any power so that I can save on battery but keep it plugged in?
