How to Downgrade Firefox

Hello,

Just hoped to touch base with a quick question. Have been using an add on to firefox to study the Pāli language. Unfortunately, the add-on doesn’t seem to work with the latest version of firefox. Basically only use firefox for this add-on, so was hoping to revert to the older version.

Have downloaded the older version of firefox and converted to a .deb file. However, have been reluctant to remove the newer version as it says that it’s part of Ubuntu Mate core.

Was hoping to check and see if anyone might know if it would be okay to remove the newer version of firefox and install the older one? If this might not be possible, might there be another way to revert to the previous version.

Much appreciation for your time and hope you have a great day.

This is a fairly complete article on what you might do if the current version of FF is not to your liking.

Edit: By the way, Firefox ESR can be installed along side of Firefox 57.
