Hi all. So i am a blind user, brand new to linux. I am installing it in a VM, how ever, there is no speech during install. The screen reader turns on, but does not speak the text at all. is there a way to fix this?

Hi there, thanx for the welcome. I am using Virtual box for the virtual machine, on windows. I can here when it tells me that the screen reader is turned on, but it just does not speak to me while i navigate the install...
sorry for the double post, but i've tried with ubuntu 21.04 LTS but found out that orca install does not work. Then i downloaded ubuntu mate 20.04 LTS and it still does not want to work...
It should be some settings inside virtualbox configurations for this VM to enable sound support.
I hope that this will work for you out of the box, otherwise, the sound output will need guest tools that can be installed only after the installation.
