I’m using the Redmond panel layout, and by default there is a Firefox icon next to the Menu. I removed it and added (for the time being) Vivaldi and Double Commander from the Menu right clicking on them and choosing “add to panel”. They appeared where they are supposed to be, BUT I can’t move them around. When I try to move anyone, I can only move it to the right side of the window list, but I can’t change the order of them. Moreover, I added the apps, restarted, and they were in a different order. How could I sort them for my liking? Or is there an other applet for this scenario?
Right-click the icons of the panel and from the context-menu, click “Lock To Panel” if the option is “selected” / “enabled”.
Afterwards, move the icons according to your preferences.
Hmm, this is very unpredictable but finally got it working. I had to remove the window list applet to be able to move them around (they weren’t locked by the way), because they wanted to go to the right of the window applet.
