How to verify the ARM image?

Hi,
How/where do I get the SHA256SUMS and SHA256SUMS.gpg files for ubuntu-mate-16.04-desktop-armhf-raspberry-pi.img.xz I download from BYTEMARK?
Thanks,
Peter

Hi

ARM arch should be the same as the others.

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply!

In what way is it “the same as the others”? The same SHA sum?

This is about comparing the downloaded image file’s SHA sum with the one downloaded from a secure location (or usually, but less securely, from the same site where the image file was downloaded), correct? (I’ve got the image file, I’m trying to obtain the pre-calculated SHA sum.)

Thanks a lot,
Peter

I think @anon42388993 means that verifying an image is the same as other platforms, like i386 and amd64 (for PCs).

The SHA256SUM for the image is printed on the Download page under the “Via Direct Download” section.

Bytemark - ubuntu-mate-16.04-desktop-armhf-raspberry-pi.img.xz

Download Size: 1.1 GB

SHA256 Checksum: bf7c85d0a25c8f27313a4bc47d4ceb32a9082390b18651af247d9757abebd21a

Also, we have our own page on the website about verifying downloads for Windows, Mac and Ubuntu MATE.

The Raspberry Pi downloads are hosted independently to Canonical, so I don’t think there is a SHA256SUM.gpg file.

Thank you, Luke! I am not sure how I missed that one.
