Hi,
I want to use a Pi3 as an X-Terminal, as I have done with lots of cheap/small PCs before with a variety of Linux distributions. All I have to do is start the X server process as “X -broadcast :0”. But…
I tried to patch this into the normal startup process, but lightdm seems to behave differently than gdm or xdm, and I had no luck.
If I “graphical disable” and start X from an /etc/rc3.d/S99local script, it perfectly gets the login screen from the server via XDMCP, but without any keyboard mapping, which is very critical for germans (FGUs etc.)…
Any ideas? Perhaps additional parameters to X?
Thanks, Eckhard
