I could use some help with Thunderbird

I could use some help with Thunderbird.

I would like to get it looking like what I see with Yahoo mail.

And learn how to import my contacts from Yahoo Mail.

In all honesty, I have to say that I am disappointed in the lack of help of Ubuntu-Mate community. (Except for Eric and tkn and Pavlos and wally333.)

I work hard at "not being a burden" to users of this forum.

I post at many sites and get help.

So I come here as little as possible.

Start Thunderbird, click on View > Layouts check Classic View and Folder Pane
Does this look like yahoo?

To import Yahoo contacts into Thunderbird, first export them from your Yahoo Mail account as a CSV file. Then, in Thunderbird, go to Tools > Import > Address Books, select "Text file (.csv)", choose your exported file, and follow the prompts to match the fields.

Just a piece of advice: You REALLY shouldn't be making comments of the nature that is "dissing" a community from which you are seeking help!

It is best to simply not say anything that attempts to characterize, such as your telling the Community that they are not living up to your expectations! That is a real turn-off for most of us!

You should simply "poke" the discussion by saying something like

  • Could someone please consider offering a response to my query?

Great way to ask for help.

Mr. Eric.

I did NOT "diss" the community here.

You are certainly welcome to your opinion.

There is a saying that I think applies here.

"Opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has one."

Deleted for clarity.

I appreciate the compliment. Have a good evening.

It appears that you didn't recognize the sarcasm in Norm's post!

Sarcasm has no place here.

I have boundaries set for what is is beneficial to my well being.

If anyone is outside my boundaries, I consider them as toxic.

I am a very happy person.

My feeling is that if you nothing nice to say, do NOT reply.
