I have problems trying to install Wine

Hello,

So, I'm a noob when it comes to Linux (installed it today) and I wanted to install Wine on it. Everything went ok untill I got to this command :

sudo apt-get install --install-recommends winehq-staging

this error appears

E: Malformed entry 1 in list file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/wine.list (Component)
E: The list of sources could not be read.
E: Malformed entry 1 in list file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/wine.list (Component)
E: The list of sources could not be read.
Can anyone help me ?

Hello, @XrayMan19.

Show us the full, unabridged contents of the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/wine.list. Otherwise, we have no idea what the issue is.

ALSO: After you paste the contents of that file into a post here, and before you hit the "Reply" button below, please select that text and click the </> button just above the text area. If you don't do that, the sources.list file will be very difficult to read, ideed. Ask me how I know that.

run this command in the terminal

sudo pluma /etc/apt/sources.list

and look at towards the bottom of that file you should see entries that should look like this
deb Index of /wine-builds/ubuntu focal main
#deb-src Index of /wine-builds/ubuntu focal main
My Wine list are on the main sources.list not in the sources.list.d folder

I used these instructions without issue.
One difference is that these intructions use:

sudo apt install --install-recommends winehq-stable

I think I managed to repair it myself. The problem was that the word"main" was on the second row, not the first near the other text

deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ focal main

Also if u dont mind could u check my source.list so you can see if I screwed up any other files? Thnaks in advanced!
