IMAP for RSS Feeds?

I run two main computers: An Ubuntu MATE 16.04 equipped system that I use primarily for work (due to my assessment that Ubuntu variants are more likely to be compatible with “everything else”) and a system running the GNOME desktop on Arch Linux. The MATE system is equipped with Thunderbird, while Arch has evolution due to it’s better integration with GNOME.
I use both to view RSS feeds, and have noticed that they essentially run like a POP3 mailbox (in that I’ll go through all the feeds at work, come home and turn on my Arch system where all the feeds are still there). I’m wondering if there is a way to make the systems operate more like an IMAP mailbox: something I think Windows based systems accomplish through the Common Feeds List. I’m wondering if there’s a Linux equivalent.

Anyone got any ideas?
