How do I install MATE 1.24 ?

There is a ppa you could add to your /etc/sources.list.
https://launchpad.net/~jonathonf/+archive/ubuntu/mate-1.24
However, note the warning about compatibility with other portions of 18.04.
1.24 comes with 20.04 -- why not upgrade the whole thing?

I tried 20.04.
It has a lot of broken items.
Will wait till it is updated.
