I wasn’t sure where to post this but is there a way to hide the other indicators when not in use be cause right now in 16.04 i have scroll lock and num key indicatior that never do anything because i dont have them on my keyboard also is there a way to change the look of the indicators
Great question! Similarly, I would like to hide the sound indicator.
I use JACK instead of PulseAudio and control the volume with an external soundcard. It wont kill me, but it’s distracting to still see the disabled Pulse volume indicator applet in the menu bar.
The first place to look is System>Preferences>Hardware>Keyboard shortcuts.
I would also check dconf-editor. You may need to install it first, I don’t remember if its part of the default install.
